Melaka River Cruise

We took the river cruise at 9.30pm, last ride is at 11.30pm.

The ride was ok, water a bit smelly, I think the best time to be on this River Cruise is be during sunset.

Fare is at RM10 for adult and RM5 for children, applicable for Malaysian with MyCard.
The fare is higher for foreigner.

Durian Cendol, Melaka

Bahaya Facebook

British banker fired, escapes to Australia after his remarks on 'poor' Singapore on Facebook.

A Singapore-based UK banker, Anton Casey, who triggered massive public outrage over his Facebook remarks insulting Singapore residents, has been dismissed from his post and forced to flee to Australia.

His employer Crossinvest (Asia) Pte Ltd and Casey “parted ways”, the company indicated on Saturday, as quoted by AFP.

"Those comments go against our core corporate and family values that are based on trust, mutual understanding and are respectful of diversity," the company’s statement said.

Anton Casey, 39, married to a former Singapore beauty queen, has gone to Perth, Australia, in the wake of the scandal.

Casey has permanent residence in Singapore which he calls his adopted home, and claims he received death threats after posting his “poor people” comments on Facebook, referring to Singapore commuters.

One of the posts was a picture of a boy who is apparently Casey’s five-year-old son sitting inside a metro train, with a caption above his head reading: “Daddy, where is your car & who are all these poor people?”

In another post, Casey complained about “the stench of public transport” while his Porsche was in the garage.

Renew Passport

Ringing tapi tiada jawapan, hmm mungkin diorang busy sangat kot.  Takpe, kami pergi je la.

Sampai kat office immegresen ada makcik staff imigresen duduk kat depan pintu..

Staff: Eh, nak buat passport? Kami tutup hari ni, ada kursus.
Me: Tutup? Esok buka tak?
Staff: Esok pun tak buka.
Me: Sabtu minggu depan buka tak?
Staff: Sabtu depan pun tak sure lagi, you call dulu la hari jumaat tu.

Apa?! Kursus pun kena tutup counter ke? Apa la salah nyer at least ada orang jawap call ke tadi, takde la menyusahkan orang nak kena datang.

Cubaan ke-2
Kena tunggu counter petang buka pukul 2pm.

Kami isi perut dulu kat kafe di tingkat bawah.

Pukul 1.20pm kami naik lagi, 1.35pm orang dah start beratur, kamu pun q gak orang yang ke-3.

Pukul 1.55pm counter number start buka.  Rupanya sekarang kalau renew dah tak payah nak isi borang lagi, ada improvement.

Tengok tu, Eugene sampai tertido kepenatan.

Dalam pukul 3 lebih passport kami dah siap.

Yeay, gumbira nyer.

The only reason I applied for this card is to avoid paying for the service charge or whatever extra charges when purchasing an AirAsia online ticket.

Hope it is worth the sweat..

To you, me, and all Malaysians

Quote "To my Muslim brothers and sisters, I say this to you. Let us not allow our faith and our religious beliefs to be hijacked by groups and people such as Perkasa and ISMA who have fringe and extremist views regarding Islam in Malaysia and those of other faiths. Close your ears to the messages of fear, distrust and hate, even when they come clothed as religious rulings or come from the Friday khutbah because men are fallible and we know who writes those texts.

To my non-Muslim brothers and sisters, I ask for patience, compassion, love and acceptance. Open your doors and your hearts to us so that we may learn and know of you better. I know some of you already have. Forgive us for our harsh words and actions because sometimes we know not what we do. I sometimes fear that as humans, even your patience has limits. Don’t lose faith in us

To all Malaysians: we need to get some sanity back and to send a clear signal to our leaders, representatives and these people who claim to speak for us and on our behalf but remain silent. This arrogance is not what our individual faiths are about. Neither is it about being rigid, regressive, dominant, tyrannical nor authoritarian."

Dahulu dan sekarang

Ini bukan post politikus ya.

Lately selalu dengar orang merungut pasal kenaikan harga barang sehingga membebankan rakyat.

  1. kalo takda duit kenapa KFC/McD asyik penuh?
  2. kenapa orang masih berpusu-pusu ke shopping complex?
  3. dulu orang naik bus, sekarang semua rumah pasti ada kereta.

  4. mampu beli rumah?

World's happiest OECD countries (2013):
1. Australia
2. Sweden
3. Canada
