Price is definitely cheaper than those that I used to have in KL.  1st bite was heavenly with crunchy outer layer of the meringue.  But further in, you will get this hard rock sugar candy texture.  Sigh..

Red velvet cake - RM11

One word - too sweet.

We can't finish either one of the above.

For drinks, we had ice blended, mocha and cookies crumble, again too sweet, but taste good.

Ok, not really a good 1st experience for us, but we will come back to try their pancakes, looks great on their promo pictures!

In my garden: Lemongrass in a pot

The lemongrass that I planted in a flower pot few months ago has grown so big, I can hardly see the pot anymore.

Kitto loves the plant.

Today, I am making some lemongrass tea.  I only need lemongrass, pandan leaves and rock sugar.  Boil them together.  

Arghh so nice to have a glass of warm lemongrass tea on a rainy sunday morning.  Feels like I was transfer back to Siem Reap for awhile there..

Benefits of lemongrass tea are endless, but here are some of them..

Not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding mom ya.

Akhirnya, berjaya juga kami meluangkan masa untuk datang mencuba mee mangkok yang 'happening' ni.

 

This boat noodle cost RM1.50 per bowl. Taste a bit sour from of the chili paste, not too spicy, I love it.

I also tried their delicious Soda herbs, cost RM6.50.  The drink consists of soda, laici, lemon grass and mint leaves.

I was surprised to find out that the father of the owner was my ex-colleague,  after work he will come to help making the drinks.  I am so happy for them, the business is good, they created something new in the town, and make many happy tummies too :) 

Overall, me and hubby love it.  But the kids not so.  You can ask for no chili noodle but my kids still don't like all the herbs.  Its going to be an issue for us, next time we will get them fed 1st before me and hubby come for a fest here.

Coffee Obsession Cafe, Kuching

Coffee Obsession, Jalan Keretapi, Kuching.

Our 1st time here.

 The entrance, the cafe is located on the 1st floor of the shop-houses.

So, this is the only sign that you will get, it says 'We are open when the gate is open!'  huh! 

Nice deco once inside.  This is a self-service cafe, so you need to go to the counter to make your order.  You will get a bottle of complimentary plain water too.  Nice bottle!

Overall, the drinks are great, the food are so-so.

Sakae Sushi RM8 Promotion

Sakae Sushi is now having a new menu promotion at the price of RM8 each.  There are up to 18 selection of sushi to choose from.

So earlier this week we went to Sakae Sushi Merdeka Plaza to try out their new menu.  Soooo yummy I tell you...

We had Smoked Kamo (duck), Salmon, Spider Roll (Soft crab), Sakae salad, Itoyoki, Sachi Set.

We paid a total of RM59.35 including 3 cups of Henmai Tea.  Not bad, right?!

Dinner at Megabite Cafe

After our breakfast at Megabite cafe on Saturday morning, we came back again on Sunday evening for dinner.

Sabah fish noodle for Mummy - RM7

Ayam pansuh with ruce for Daddy - RM6.  Looks more like a clear chicken soup with tapioca leaves to me.

Carbonara for Eugene - RM9

Char Sio Pau for Emmett - RM1.70

Overall we are happy with the food, price ok, taste also ok.  Location near to home and the cafe is quite clean too.

Megabite Cafe, Batu Kawa

We had breakfast At Megabite cafe, somewhere near e-Mart Batu Kawa this morning.  It's our 1st time here.

Noodle with wantan and char siew - RM5

Soft boiled eggs and toast.

Most of stall are not open for breakfast, we got to come back again for dinner next time to try out from the rest of food stalls.

King's Grill, Legoland Johor

We had lunch the the King's Grill, LEGO^® Kingdoms while in Legoland, Johor.

We ordered a Knight Mix Combo which consist of chicken chop, nugget, chicken fingers, and fish n chips.
