Fresh cherry

Bought this fresh cherries from Ta Kiong this morning.  It costs RM15.21 for this packet.

It is so juicy and sweet; taste abit like plum but even better.

I dunno how fresh these are but I never tasted any cherries freshier than these.

Hope one day I can go somewhere to pluck a fresh cherry and pop it straight into my mouth... Wahhh.. Lets keep on dreaming shall we ;)

In my garden: Butternut Squash

Just like my Winter Melon, I also did not plant this Butternut Squash on purpose.

At 1st I thought this is going to be another Winter Melon, but when I observe the leaves carefully, I can see the non-similarities.

After some thinking and little research, I come up with a conclusion that this is a Butternut Squash plant.

See the differences.

We will just have to wait for the fruit to confirm what plant is this, for the being this is Butter Squash at Week 1.

In my garden: Winter melon

I did not purposely plant this Winter Melon (Ash Gourd).  I just 'throw' the seed after I make a soup out of it few months ago.  Like my other plants in my backyard, I never really take the time to nurture them, then suddenly I saw this yesterday afternoon...
Tada... We have our 1st organically grown Winter Melon in our garden.

Ok, lets not get too excited at this point, we shall see how it turns up.
Let consider this as week 1, I'm not sure how long it takes to mature, will blog about it when it does. Adios.
