Ayam Penyet at Rumah Hijau

Semalam kami dinner kat Rumah Hijau.

Perbualan kami setibanya di luar kedai..
Eugene: Aaa, I know this place, they sell Ayam Berlipat or something.
Mummy: Bukan Ayam Berlipat. Ayam Penyet lah.
Daddy: Next time you make your own new recipe, Ayam Berlipat, okay.
Hahahaha

Perbualan di dalam kedai..
Me: Brapa harga Ayam Penyet jak, iboh nasi?
Waiter: Sik kamek tauk brapa harga ya.
Hmmm tak tau, tak nak ambik tau, tak nak membantu!
Takpe lah, since Eugene dah buat lawak di luar tadi, mood mak pun masih elok, kita teruskan jer lah.

Another totally unrelated conversations that I heard during my breakfast at 7am this morning in a coffee shop, from two ladies at the next table..
Lady A: Ko tauk, tikus di rumah aku, bra aku digigit nya.
Lady B: Nyaman juak bra ya.
They had a really good laugh about it.
Kalau aku la dalam situasi itu, confirm menggelabah dah, luckily we have our superhero cat at home, Mr. Kitto to the rescue.

SMK G or K

Never knew that choosing a secondary school can be such a headache too.

So, my son was offered to 2 different secondary schools.  We only found out about his acceptance to the 2nd school on Christmas eve, which gave us only few days before the registration to make a decision.  When asked, which school he wanted to attend?  He said whichever, that's because his best buddies will be in either one of the school as well.

We list down the main pro and con for each school, but still we cannot decide, so we just wait until the very last minute to choose.

School G

Pro : nearer, less than 10km from home.

Con : afternoon session.

School K

Pro : morning session, mom and dad’s ex school, 

Con : Far, more than 10km from home (but near to daddy’s office).

Went for the registration day to both schools to listen to the taklimat by the Pengetua.  At the end, after discussion with my son, we decided to go for the little things and also the sentimental value.

Eugene’s last day in SK

Result UPSR sudah diumumkan, bermakna berakhir lah sudah perjalanan sekolah rendah bagi Eugene.  Tahun depan dia akan memulakan babak sekolah menengah pula.

Throughout his 6 years in Primary school, I believe his had gone thru one happy phrase of his life in school.  He never complaint about school days, always the 1st one to wake up and get ready in the morning. Part of it also thanks to his 3 best friends, Anson, Dexter and Felix, I am sure they will cherish their time together.

As for his UPSR result, no he didn't get a straight As.  He got exactly what he deserves, dengan usaha nya yang cukup makan, result pun cukup makan.  

We are happy with his result.

Keep up the good work, son.  A little more efforts, a little less games, I am sure you can go a long way.

Eugene is 12

My boy is 12! sob sob, ok Mummy, don’t get emotional, this post is not about you, it’s about Eugene.

So, on his birthday, Eugene did not wish for any gifts from Mummy, instead he wanted to choose his own breakfast, lunch and dinner locations and menus.  Ok boy, that’s a simple request to fulfill.

Happy Birthday, Eugene. Mummy loves you.

P/s: His ambition (as of the month) is to be a vet by day and a chef by night.

UPSR 2018

Maka berakhirlah sudah episode UPSR 2018.

Rasa nyer zaman sekarang, anak-anak yang menduduki  exam,  parents yang over nervous. Anak cool jer memanjang.

Syukur semuanya berjalan lancar sepanjang 4 hari peperiksaan, sekarang hanya mampu berdoa dan pasrah menunggu keputusan.

This is only the 1st step, you still have a long way to go, my son.  Jangan kecewa sekiranya keputusan tidak seberapa; jangan lah angkuh sekiranya keputusan cemerlang.

P/s: I can’t even remember my own Primary 6 Exam, result pun tak ingat dah.

Eugene at 11 years and 8 months

Mummy: Eugene, how do you rate your happiness in life? 1 the saddest, 10 happiest.
Eugene: I don't know, how can I rate myself?
Mummy: Yes, you can. You know yourself more than others do.
Eugene: Ok then, 21.

Wow, he must be one happy boy; at that time he was holding his phone, if I take away the phone, I'm sure the rating will be negative :D

Eugene is 11

On Eugene's birthday, hubby took a day off to spend time with him and of coz his brother tag along.

In the afternoon, while I am at work, they went to TGV to watch Lego Ninjago.

Just look at those happy faces..

For dinner, we went to Bella Italia, Eugene loves the risotto there.

For his cake, we bought a chocolate cake from Komugi, so good, not too 'heavy'.

Eugene's Sketches #1

Eugene ni jarang melukis, kalau dia melukis pun sorok-sorok, hasilnya pun tersangat la comel, perlu guna kanta pembesar untuk menghargai lukisan dia.

Emmett says he is a big fan of his brother's sketches.

So here's my 1st posting on Eugene's sketches, it's a comic btw (according to him).

Ganas la jugak kan? I asked him who is Lenny Face, and he said it's a meme.
hmmm.. I got a lot to catching-up to do.

Kitto went to ward

So, our cat Kitto injured his head.  Not sure due to some cat fight or something else.

The wound looks bad, we had to bring him for treatment.  This is the 1st time he visited a vet.

See how worried Eugene was.

He needed some stitches on the head and had to be admitted to 2 nights.  Hopefully he will be fine, and come home as Kenshin ;)

3 After 3 nights in the wards, it finaly time to go and bring him back..

He is all fine and back to his naughty self now.

On Kong, and more.

Friday evening marked the beginning of the 1-week school holiday.

We all went to Vivacity.  Emmett and daddy went for Kong's movie.

In the meantime, Eugene and mummy went for a Japanese meal, at Ajisen Ramen, Vivacity.

We saw the the Chill*X Diner is closed, is this where the fire started last week?!
Then we went to buy some books at the Popular Book Fair.

And we saw this..

Hui Lau Shan is going to open in Vivacity soon, the 1st in East Malaysia, woot woot!

Well, that's how we kick start the kids holidays.

Legoland Malaysia Resort Hotel

We had an enjoyable stay at Legoland Resort Hotel earlier this month.  It was an unforgettable experience for the kids.  The expression that Emmett has once we walk into the lobby was priceless, you can see it in the video below.

The official checkin time for the hotel is at 4pm and checkout at 11am, what?!

Lucky for us, we were able to checkin around 1pm that day, thanks to the wonderful staff at the reception counter.

So, here's our Kingdom Theme room on the 3rd floor of the hotel.

The room.. 2 tv 📺, one in the king size room and other at the bunk beds area.

The Beds, king size bed and bunk beds with 3 mattress.

The washroom, with 2 separate sinks, 1 for adults and 1 for the kids, a lower set.

The swimming pools, on Level 5.

Breakfast at The Brick Family Restaurant.

But what the kids like most about this hotel is the lobby area, lots of lego to play with, Eugene and Emmett spent hours there.

Sentosa Theme Park, Kuching

We went there last month.

The kids really enjoy themselves.

Boleh tahan mahal jugak tempat ni, tengok senarai harga di bawah.

Kena bawa duit berguni-guni, kata kakak saya.  Duit siling la kot.

Eugene's 1st Holy Communion

Eugene receives his 1st Eucharist last month.

The day before, he went for his 1st Confession.

The sacrament of First Communion took place during the morning Sunday Mass.  Total of 45 children graduated on that day, 22 young girls and 23 young boys.

Long and uneventful weekend

When others had an extra day off on Monday, my long weekend started from Friday.

It goes like this.. On Thursday noon I noticed some red spots on Eugene's face.  And I remember he had a mild fever the night before.  I straight away think, this must be chickenpox.  We waited for the clinic to open at 6pm and we went for his check-up and confirmed the infection.  The doctor gave him a 10 days Medical Leave, and lots of medications.

So, on Friday I took an emergency leave to stay at home with Eugene.  He seems fine other than a few red spots on his face and more on his stomach.  A bit of itchiness but nothing else.

On Saturday, we stayed at home most of the time. No swimming lesson for the kiddos.  I went for a not-so-relaxing-1-hour facial.

On Sunday, no Sunday class for them.  I am getting reckless, there's a lot of sales and promotions happening over the weekend, I need to go out.  Thanks to hubby and kiddos for driving Mummy around while they stayed in the car most of the time, and Mummy gets to do some fast track shopping.

I manage to cover, Vivacity, Boulevard, and CityOne. We did go to The Spring, but cannot find parking. My catch..

Does it look uneventful to you? I think I should change the title of this post :D

And I will be taking more leave this week to stay at home with Eugene.  Let just hope I wont end up somewhere else with more shopping bags in hand pulak.
