Road to Borneo Highlands

I always wanted to visit Borneo Highlands, but I don't like to think about the narrow and winding road up there.

Few weeks ago the opportunity arise again, this time I just grasp it.

Let's see some of the photos that I managed to capture while on the way up the hill.

This is the official transport to Borneo Highlands, you can drive your own car too, but it is highly recommended to use the official transport.  For me I just let the pro do the job.

Let's start our journey.

It takes about 20-30 minutes drive up the hills.

Love the huge trees along the way.

 

 When you see this rows of pine tree, you know you have reach the destination.

SEB family Day

Last saturday we attended SEB's family day at Damai Resort.

The kids were having so much fun.

Look at that, a titanic sink at Santubong sea.  According to a staff here, the ship was there since December 2012.  The ship was supposed to deliver stones to Bintulu.  I dunno what's going to happen to that ship, hope its not going to stuck there forever.

Around noon time, Eugene starts complaining having sore throat.  I gave him some panadol syrup.

The next morning when he woke up, we noticed that his upper lips was a bit swollen, and some itchiness on the ankles and feet.  He bring him to Bibiana Teo' clinic.  Dr. Teo said that's scarlet fever.

After 1 round of antibiotics his fever and the swollen lips were gone.  Now still have slight reddish and itchiness at some parts of his body.

Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang

For me, shopping complex ni ada persamaan dengan The Garden, Midvalley. Banyak kedai kelas2 dan orang tak sesak sangat.. I loike.

Kat Empire ni takda la butik LV, tapi Tang's store ada.

Another great thing about Empire is that there's lots of restaurant and cafe especially at the lower ground floor. Ada Chili's, Kenny Rogers, Nyonya Colors, The Loaf, Serai, Whisk, 1901, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, sushi, italian, dim sum...dan banyak lagi.

At the tops floor, lots of kids facilities like gym, coloring/baking/dance classes for children.

And, you can just walk a few steps across the road to Subang Parade. So literally you get 2 shopping malls in one visit.

The Empire Hotel is also a great choice with spacious room; only that the lift is a bit too slow most of the time.

Tanah ni belum diusahakan lagi, tengok lah semua pokok berduri, memang mencabar jalan dalam hutan yang berkeadaan macam ni.

The show takes only about 15-20 minutes but we waited for an hour beforehand, because we wanted to have the best view.
It starts at 2pm, make sure to come early, if you are late by 1 min, you will be like those standing behind the gate, no more seat left, and they not allowed to cross the gate.
Kesian kan... kalau la kami tertinggal show ni, mesti nangis tak berair mata kami pulang ke Kuching.
