RMCO Week 7 | Telaga Air

I took a day off from work on Monday.  We went for our 1st family outing since MCO, to a seaside Malay Kampung, Telaga Air.

This is my 2nd time in Telaga Air, 1st time was few years back, I went there for official duty.  It is the 1st time for the rest of the family.

With not many vechicles on the road, it only took us about 30 minutes to reach our destination.  Best things about going out on weekdays is that there not many people around.  But some of the shop might not the open during weekdays.  Which does not really effect our plan since we don’t have a plan to start with. haha.

After driving around the small town, we stop at one of the seafood restaurant, called Sinar Restaurant.  We ordered food for our late lunch, shellout for 2 person, omelette, and sweet sour ikan siakap.  Total bill at RM93, including 3 plain rice, 2 coconut, and 2 cokes.

This is the 1st time our children had meal outside since MCO.  Kesian diorang, lama betul tak keluar, tapi diorang ok jer, serinok jer duduk rumah.

The shellout was really good.  Not too spicy as we requested none spicy, just nice.

On the way back we stop by at the famous coconut shake stalls by the roadside, we got 1 coconut shake and 1 mango shake.  I prefer the mango shake, as I feel the coconut shake tasted more like santan shake. hehe.

Other than the trip to Telaga Air, our days are just pretty usual.  Covid cases are increasing in Kuching, we try to stay at home most of the time.

I had ABC gula apong with my colleague on one of our lunch break.

I had lots of pineapple this week too.

RMCO Week 6

Nothing much happening this week. Covid19 case is still increasing, not goong anywhere over the weekend.  We did went back to kampung to visit my parents on Saturday, not for long though.  Minimise contact, but I need to go back just in case Kuching becoming red zone again.  Touch wood.

Work in office busy as usual.  With program postponing, replanned, re-strategies.  My organisation celebrates its 25 anniversary this week.  We had a small celebration in the office.

We went out tapao for food most of the time.  Let see what I cooked this week.

Daun ubi
Bawal hitam goreng.
Patin tempoyak.

Lama tak makan maggi.  Hari ni buat maggi special dengan udang. Sedap!

I spent alot of time on the phone too, reading novels and playing stupid quiz on FB, here are some..
Correct.

RMCO Week 5

The beginning of the week looks so promising.  With Kuching being declared as Green Zone, we were planning to have family outing the coming weekend.  But when Friday came so was the bad news.  Kuching had 2 new cases for 3 consecutive days in a row.  All plan was cancelled.  We just stay at home over the week.

Nonetheless, we get to loosen up a bit when we were in Green Zone.  I had my 1st official dinner function with poco-poco as one of the program that night.

I also went for my long delay massage at my usual place.  They are finally back to business this week.  I brought my own kain sarung.  No photo taken.

I also went to a hardware cum furniture shop in Samarahan, ML Home Mart.  Loving this full length mirror.  No, I didn’t buy it, not sure where to place it.

And to end the week, we had bbq night,  we had bacon, smoked duck, prawn, and cheese sausage.

Btw, I still haven’t get the kids to cut their hair, I am loving their long hair look.

RMCO Week 4

So I finally step my foot at a wet market this week.  It was on a weekdays, so not that many people around.

Main purpose was to look for this fish - ikan patin.

I have been craving for tempoyak patin for a few week now.  Finally I make my 1st tempoyak patin, so easy, so yummy.

I also went out for window shopping and eat out with hubby for the 1st time since MCO.  Though we only had dessert at Hui Lau Shan, Vivacity.

Let we what I had in my kitchen this week.

Steam ikan siakap.
Kerang masak kicap.
Ikan patin, 2nd round.

I also bought these baklawa from shoppee, saja nak cuba.  Too sweet.
