To pound padi? To get rid of the husk or to make the rice more refined??
The main purpose is to get rid of the husk, but in order to do so, you'll need to pound using this Risoung then wind it using Tapan. During the process, the padi might get 'broken'; which we don't want it to be but it can be reduce by having a correct pounding technique.

aduh..tok bago manah geh daun ubi dek yak tumbuk ngan...Koih biasa pakai risuong batuh kecil ya ajak.
